The 10th Conference “La Xarxa a Debat: Caring for professionals and teams” it was held October 9, 2020, electronically due to the situation arising from COVID-19.
Organized by FCCSM and AEN Catalonia, the conference focused the debate on the care of mental health professionals, teams, and organizations.
With more than 130 professional participants, the discomforts associated with care practice and the need to put them into words were reflected upon.
The importance of the was emphasized care with ethical responsibility and of the recognition of the dignity of the other.
The impact of transformations in the care system on the well-being and quality of work life of professionals was also analyzed.
The concept of was addressed’moral distress, related to the gap between professional best practices and the actual possibilities for care.
The event vindicated the role of teams as supporters of care activity and the importance of a good working environment.
More participatory management was also defended, with team autonomy and the involvement of users and families.
Finally, three discussion groups made it possible to delve deeper into the different topics and share experiences and proposals.
Overall, the event highlighted that Taking care of professionals and teams is an essential condition to guarantee quality mental health care..
