The Debate Forum «Cultura, creativitat i salut mental en zones de conflicte», held on June 11, 2026, addressed the role of art and culture in contexts marked by violence and conflict.
The meeting made it possible to present and share various experiences of artistic intervention developed in conflict zones.
The potential of creativity as a tool for support, expression, and assistance in situations of suffering and vulnerability was reflected upon.
The presented experiences showed different ways of using art, music, and other creative expressions in particularly complex social contexts.
The debate highlighted the capacity of cultural practices to build bonds, foster participation and strengthen community networks.
The importance of giving a voice and space for expression to people and communities affected by conflicts was also highlighted.
The conference featured contributions from various fields and experiences, linked to cooperation, health, community action, and artistic creation.
They participated Lluís Serrat (COIB), Manel Vila (District 11), Anna Montserrat Clowns Without Borders, Chené Gómez (Create) i Gani Mirzo (Gani Mirzo Foundation).
Organized by Culture, Creativity and Mental Health Working Group, the Forum fostered the exchange of knowledge and experiences between different disciplines.
Thus, the meeting contributed to reflecting on the value of culture and creativity as tools for care, resilience and social transformation in conflict contexts.
