The Post-Congress Journey: 6th Catalan Congress of Mental Health It was held on March 2, 2018, in Barcelona, as a continuation of the Congress dedicated to migrations, exile, refuge, human rights, and mental health.
The goal was to resume and update some of the main topics addressed during the Congress.
It was noted that many of the issues related to migration and asylum remained unresolved.
The conference highlighted the persistence of an especially serious social and humanitarian situation in Europe.
Concern was also raised about the silencing of these realities in the media and in institutional priorities.
The event brought together professionals and organizations from the fields of health, mental health, social work, and care for migrants and refugees.
Debate and the exchange of knowledge and experiences among the various local stakeholders were promoted.
The meeting advocated for a community and human rights-based perspective in the face of these situations.
Finally, the need to maintain was raised denunciation, mobilization, and the formulation of responses from health and mental health.
