International Festival of Performing Arts, Mental Health and Popular Culture
From its beginnings, we have supported L’Other Festivals, is an international cultural event that promotes collaboration between two sectors: the Performing Arts and Mental Health. Its objective is to achieve the well-being and inclusion of people with and without mental health issues through the performing arts, and to raise awareness about the reality of mental health in society.
The festival's programming is based on Artistic proposals created, starred in, or related to people with diverse mental health experiences, while seeking interaction among professional, non-professional and amateur performances.
Some names that have already been part of Altre Festival are Joan Manuel Serrat, James Rhodes, Toni Mira, Marta Carrasco, Los Galindos, Stalker Teatro, Pallapupas, Accademia della Follia, Teatro do Mar, Cabo San Roque i Mark Lockyer_ ATC Company, among others.
This project is led by the Socio-Cultural Association l’Altre Festival, a non-profit organization whose main objective is to promote the creation and maintenance of Performing Arts related to the field of Mental Health.
