The Gaze on the Child: An Integrative Intervention with Children in Foster Care. The Experience of Domus de Luna

We present the Conference “The Gaze Upon the Child: An Integrative Intervention with Children Under Foster Care. The Domus de Luna Experience”, aimed at presenting the experience of Domus de Luna Foundation , Domus de Luna is an organization in the field of child protection located near Cagliari (Sardinia, Italy). Domus de Luna hosts children and adolescents under the care of the administration, and mothers in situations of great psychosocial difficulty, to support them in their overall recovery.
The conference will feature the participation of the head of the therapeutic area and the head of the educational area, who will explain their working methods, placing the child at the center of their recovery perspective. They will discuss the intensive and careful psychotherapy they provide, as well as multidisciplinary integration, joint supervision received by psychologists and the educational team, community intervention, and relationships with institutions. The conference will conclude with a debate and reflections on the question, “Is it possible to replicate the Domus de Luna experience in Catalonia?” with relevant actors from the child protection field in the front row.
The day was organized by Official College of Psychology of Catalonia I love you’Sant Pau Family Therapy School with the collaboration of College of Physicians of Barcelona, the Cassià Just Foundation I love Catalan Congress of Mental Health Foundation.
