Presentation
Luís Feduchi gifted us his words with the generosity and humility of someone who doesn't aim to establish a school. With the drive and desire for knowledge and a vocation for public service. Aware that truth, never conceived as absolute, is approached not only through science but also through poetry, of which he was such a great lover.
It was no accident that he made the oral transmission of thought a fundamental value. Form and substance were thus linked in him. The living presence of interlocutors that orality demands allowed us to be infected by his enthusiasm and enjoy the experience of a creative dialogue. Nothing further from the boredom about which we reflected so much with him.
Just as we know that to be a good person, sufficiently good, one must know one's own failings, we also know that to be hopeful, one must feel absence. Sorrows and hopes intensely mark adolescence, to which he passionately dedicated his energies.
As Salinger recounted in his novel, he thus helped many adolescents avoid “falling off the cliff.” And like him, he wrote only one book. Furthermore, following the poet's recommendations, he had daughters and planted trees with words. Words to continue thinking, words to keep doubting.
