Pre-Congress Journey: Catalan Mental Health for Children and Adolescents
«INVISIBLE WOUNDS: CONSEQUENCES OF CHILDHOOD AND ADOLESCENT MALTREATMENT»
The perinatal stage, infancy, and adolescence are particularly vulnerable stages because development (physical, emotional, cognitive, and social) is under construction. This is a critical, sensitive, and permeable period where experiences, whether adequate or not, will have a significant impact.
Today, we want to understand the status quo regarding this issue. We will examine devices that intervene to prevent and treat children, adolescents, and their families in situations of neglect or trauma/abuse from the earliest stages of life. We want to debate what actions and support frameworks can contain and, if possible, minimize the impact of these situations.

In the field of consultancy and advisory services, and through various working modalities, FCCSM supports different professional and non-professional groups in the area of mental health. Healthcare Ethics Committee (CEA)
Following its official accreditation in 2005 as an Ethics Committee, the CEA's activity has been marked by its adaptation to new requirements and functioning.
From the CEA, we offer:

- Analysis of cases that raise ethical problems: attention to case studies from diverse individuals, institutions, or situations.
- Work and in-depth study on different topics, such as the preliminary draft law on rights and opportunities for children and adolescents; the pharmaceutical industry and conflicts of interest (medicalization both at a general level and in Mental Health); autonomous/collaborative drug management, among others.
- Preparation of technical reports and documents on the topics discussed: working with the «pills» methodology. Brief writings, following discussion and debate.
