Morning session on the risks and opportunities of using ICT in early childhood, children, and adolescents, as well as their vicissitudes in clinical practice.
Presentation
Nowadays, screens (mobile phones, consoles, tablets, TVs, etc.) are deeply ingrained in the daily lives of most people, regardless of age group.
On the one hand, we know that technologies open up a very wide range of possibilities that can help develop our personal skills and foster connections with others. On the other hand, we know that unlimited or indiscriminate use can expose us to risks, especially to the most vulnerable groups, in this case, children, adolescents, and young people.
From the social and educational spheres, educational strategies are being promoted to foster the rational use of technologies and the inclusion of relational and emotional elements that go beyond them. The clinical field of child and youth mental health also has its own avatars. More specifically, in our clinical practice, we are encountering situations that require a global understanding that goes beyond manifest symptomatology, a progressive view that takes into account the patient's circumstances, the family's, and the reference social and cultural framework.
Beyond the heaven and hell of ICT, let's rethink the clinic!
The schedule for the event will be available soon.
