The assembly of the Catalan Mental Health Congress Foundation, held on June 14th, has renewed the entity's Board of Directors and part of its Board of Trustees. Josep Vilajoana, psychologist, coach, and former dean of the Official College of Psychology of Catalonia, assumes the presidency of the Foundation and leads a team made up of Ada Ruiz, Vice President, Anna Carrió, secretary, and Albert Mariné, treasurer. The outgoing president, Àngels Vives, joins as a member alongside Lluís Albaigès, David Clusa, Myriam García, Lluís Isern, Montserrat Martínez, Teresa Morandi, and Jose Fernández.

The new Board sets itself the challenge of consolidating the intense activity of recent years and growing the Foundation. To do this, it outlines the following objectives:

  1. Expand the social base by incorporating mental health professionals from non-clinical perspectives, such as journalists, urban planners, sociologists, etc.
  2. To establish, in accordance with the statutes, an advisory council comprising some former trustees who do not wish to disassociate from the Foundation.
  3. Integrate individuals with a fresh perspective onto the Board of Trustees who can bring enthusiasm to established projects or inspire new ones.
  4. Maintain support for professionals in the different care networks
  5. Continue to contribute constructive elements to the debate on public policies regarding people's health and well-being.

Currently, the Foundation has 6 working groups: Pharmaceutical Spending, Community Mental Health, Thinkers Group, Exchange and Development Group (GIE), SEPAC Group, and Radicalization Processes. Individuals who wish to join one of these groups can contact the Foundation's secretariat. info@.
