The past November 23 and 24, 2017 The 6th Catalan Congress of Child and Adolescent Mental Health was held at the CosmoCaixa Barcelona.
This edition addressed the issue of conduct disorders from a multidisciplinary and intersectoral perspective.
The program was set up in different debate tables: Clinic I, Clinic II, Interventions, Research Finally, one last thing about the attacks carried out in August 2017. Previously, there was an inaugural conference that provided an anthropological perspective on the issue. The Congress also included the presentation of posters focused on the announced theme.
In this 6th edition, the organization of the Congress was the responsibility of Catalan Congress of Mental Health Foundation, along with the participation of a broad collective of professionals from the Organizing and Scientific Committee, and the support of different entities and institutions in the sector, worked together for the success of the Congress.

What has the Congress contributed?.
- Has permitted give voice to different models and disciplines within a framework of respect and collaborative spirit.
. - It has been an intense emotional experience to be able to share with almost five hundred colleagues the pulse of the plural, multidisciplinary, and singular thought of each speaker, filling both rooms (Auditorium and Agora).
. - The need has become apparent to share the difficulties and proposals regarding working with children, adolescents, families, schools, primary care professionals, and social services.
. - It has provided an intense and plural space for reflection that has highlighted the importance of’address behavioral problems in a diverse and committed way, beyond diagnostic labeling, by professionals who have an ethical responsibility for the current generation and for future generations.
. - In particular, it has also become clear that in the face of such serious situations that occur in our society, such as the August 2017 attacks, Professionally, we have felt challenged, and it moves us much more than what happens in the office or in the service.
. - The experience of shared work between the members of the Organizing and Scientific Committees with the Catalan Mental Health Congress Foundation opens us new opportunities for the creation of spaces for thought, debate, and participation, which will allow us to equip ourselves with better tools for our work.
