From the field of consulting and advisory services, and through various work modalities, FCCSM supports different professional and non-professional groups in the mental health field. It collaborates with various public and private institutions.

Ethics Committee

Following its official accreditation in 2005 as an Ethics Committee, the CEA's activity has been marked by its adaptation to new requirements and functioning.

From the CEA, work has been done:

  • Analysis of cases that pose ethical problems.
  • Preparation of technical reports and documents.
  • I work on different topics, such as the draft bill on rights and opportunities for children and adolescents; the pharmaceutical industry and conflicts of interest, among others.
  • I am working on a text about medicalization, both general and mental health, based on a questionnaire. The answers to the different questions proposed, as well as discussions with users, family members, and professionals, have shaped a new document.
  • Ethical follow-up of the research work on “Autonomous/Collaborative Management of Medication” being carried out by a team from the Rovira i Virgili University (URV).

Working Group for the Development of a Protocol for Assisting Migrant and Refugee Persons

Promoted by the Department of Health (PDSMiAd) and the Welcome Committee for Refugees of the Generalitat de Catalunya (2016).

The document was drafted “Protocol for Mental Healthcare for Refugees in Catalonia”.

Barcelona City Council Mental Health Table

Participation in committees and working groups for the development of a Mental Health Plan at the city of Barcelona level (2018 – 2019).

The Mental Health Table was established on January 11, 2016, and a total of 40 representatives from different entities and institutions participated.
