We need to make these words a outcry against the violence that penetrates the bodies and souls of those who have suffered the attack and their families, but expressing that all citizens feel run over and damaged by these events.

This cry contains condemnation, condolences, indignation, pain, and reaffirmation of humanity's capacity to stop these destructive manifestations of people's coexistence and respect for our diversity.

The social, political, police, and professional response reaffirms our conviction in our ability to clarify the facts, assign responsibilities, and repair the physical and emotional damage we have faced.

Despite this damage requiring repair, each death, each injury, each family brutally impacted by the events, calls for our ability to denounce the social phenomena that lead to fanaticism and terrorism. And each responsible party must be held accountable and brought to justice. In this regard, all citizens must assume responsibility for denouncing the policies that bring misery and war worldwide and that explode in the middle of our city streets.

We want to thank all the international expressions of condemnation and condolence, all the work being done to care for those most affected, and we want to encourage a collective response that does not fuel the fears and social rejection of Muslim communities; on the contrary, we want to unite with all people who respect human values and rights and to fight together for peace in the world.
