Pre-Congress day to the 7th Catalan Congress of Mental Health and celebration of the Foundation's 20th anniversary

“Digital Society and Mental Health”

From the perspective of the seventh edition of the Catalan Congress of Mental Health “Digital Society and Mental Health” (October 2021), the preparatory day for the 7th took place last November 27th CCSM in a motive also, of the 20th Anniversary of the Foundation CCSM.

The event was attended by a wide range of professionals and entities from the sector, and enjoyed the support and recognition of five professional colleges, patron members of the Foundation.COPCCOIBTSCATCEESC i COMBand the administration, both of the Barcelona City Council and the Department of Health of the Generalitat de Catalunya.

In a first table, from different perspectives, the Foundation's trajectory was reviewed and valued over these 20 In a second table, the contents and thematic axes of the upcoming Congress were presented, which will address the digital environment and mental health. This is a topic that has been debated recently in various conferences, especially concerning its impact on children and adolescents. While there are many positive aspects, such as support within traditionally isolated and discriminated groups, others negatively impact their emotional well-being and learning capacity.

Since the COVID-19 health crisis, the topic has even greater relevance at all levels, and more specifically in mental health.

This day, therefore, was an opportunity to discuss and share both the risks of the digital environment on mental health, as well as its opportunities.
