The 7th Catalan Congress on Mental Health has highlighted the interrelationship between mental health and culture. As in previous editions, the cultural dimension and artistic production from the first-person collective has been present at this Congress, and for this reason, the Cultural Committee has planned some initiatives:
Call for the 7th Xarxart Painting and Drawing Prize
The FCCSM, within the framework of the 7th Catalan Congress of Mental Health, has called for the 7th edition of the Xarxart Award for graphic works of painting or drawing.
Award Rules:
- Recommendation: DIN A4, but the size is flexible.
- Painting or drawing.
- Black and white or color.
- Only one work per author (individual or collective) will be accepted.
- Topic: Digital Society and Mental Health.
- Submission deadline: October 15, 2021.
- The works, conveniently identified by first and last name, must be submitted electronically after being digitized with the best possible resolution: preferably 300 DPI. E-mail: info@
- The participants will be users of the mental health network.
Award Procedure:
Based on the works received, the Jury composed of visual arts professionals (painters, cartoonists, illustrators, etc.) has made an initial selection of the works that were projected during the Congress. Finally, the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd winners of the 7th Xarxart Prize will be decided, with cash prizes of €500, €300, and €150, respectively.
The selected works will be exhibited in various public facilities in Barcelona and its surrounding areas, to be determined.

Call for the 1st Xarxart Prize for Narrative and Poetry
The FCCSM, within the framework of the 7th Catalan Mental Health Congress, has announced the 1st Xarxart Award for narrative and poetry.
Award Rules:
- Short stories and poetry.
- The text must be original and unpublished.
- Length: 1000 words (Arial 12).
- Send the text with your full name clearly identified, in PDF format, to: info@
- Only one text will be accepted per author (individual or collective)
- Catalan or Spanish.
- Topic: Digital Society and Mental Health.
- Submission deadline: October 15, 2021.
- The participants will be users of the mental health network.
Award Procedure:
Based on the texts received, the Jury, composed of literary professionals (writers, poets, journalists, etc.), has made an initial selection of the works that have been published and disseminated within the framework of the Congress. Finally, the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd prize winners of the 7th Xarxart Award have been decided, with cash prizes of €300, €200, and €100 respectively.
