\u00a0PRESENTATION <\/strong><\/h2>\n

Good morning, everyone. It is an honor and a pleasure for me to welcome you to this second working meeting. I would like to welcome the new members who are joining this effort.<\/p>\n

The Workshop is intended as an intense and fruitful workday that acknowledges the responsibility we have. We have convened tripartitely, from a certain identity artifice.<\/p>\n

We have gathered as professionals, as users, and as family members solely to be able to think about the issues that concern us from different angles, from different perspectives, and from different experiences. And we have gathered out of a sense of responsibility and also out of pain. A great and constant pain. We also gather for the joy of meeting and thinking together. Being able to think things through with others encourages and revitalizes us.<\/p>\n

Before we begin today's work, it is necessary to pause and reflect together on a loss. Josep Clusa, former president of the Foundation, a work colleague of many years, and a dear friend. Last year, when we met here, he came and joined us, encouraging us with his words to continue this new and original experience here, and to provide the Foundation's support for our work. Unfortunately, we do not have him here for this second meeting. He passed away last August, and now we must continue without him. But he is with us. He is with us with his warmth, his interest in things, his interest in anything that involved work and effort in understanding human difficulties in order to live and grow. He is with us with his capacity for work, his coherence and tenacity to keep moving forward. To resist the discouragement that threatens us in these difficult times for everyone.<\/p>\n

Now, in this moment of severe social difficulty, we know that things are getting harder. We are accustomed to dealing with difficulties. Mental illness, or psychotic crisis, also places us at a moment of devastation of a person's internal world and often of their social and family relationships. Time and again, we try to overcome each crisis, and then to recover the abilities that have been temporarily prevented from unfolding. For this reason, we know that hard work is needed, coming from different areas, to generate new, consistent, non-stereotyped, and worn-out ideas. Ideas for reconstruction from the social, relational, familial, emotional, and bodily spheres, rebuilding the balances that have been lost and need to be rebuilt.<\/p>\n

At the beginning I said that today's work needs to be intensive and fruitful. Strenuous, repeated, that reanimates our ability to think and not delegate it to anyone. Each of us must create our own thoughts to understand the things that happen to us. We must break free from slogans, wherever they come from. Only in the exchange of ideas and in permanent debate will we find cracks to produce new possibilities for all of us.<\/p>\n

I believe the Thinkers Group is a work proposal stemming from each of our individual responsibilities and from an ethical position where all of us, and I mean all of us, are included equally.<\/p>\n
